The Tropical Andes are one of the world’s most biodiverse and most endangered ecosystems. Jocotoco now seeks to add 3,000 acres to its Tapichalaca Reserve, which connects two national parks in southern Ecuador, and establishes a continuous protected area of more than 618,000 acres, almost the size of Yosemite National Park.
